Born in Goiânia, Goiás, he graduated in Geology from the University of Brasília in 2012.
He worked in phosphate mineral research in the private sector in 2013.
In December 2013, he joined the staff of the Geological Survey of Brazil as a Geosciences Researcher.
In 2014, he completed a master’s degree in Biostratigraphy and Paleoecology at the University of Brasília, studying the Ordovician-Silurian interval of the Paraná Basin.
In 2019, he completed a Ph.D. in Geology at the University of Brasília, studying the interval corresponding to the Ediacaran/Cambrian Boundary in the Corumbá region, Mato Grosso do Sul.
He worked at the Geological Survey as the Geology Manager at the Porto Velho – RO Unit of the Geological Survey of Brazil.
Later, he served for two years as head of the paleontology and sedimentary basins division of the Geology Directorate at the Geological Survey of Brazil.
Since 2018, he has been part of the team at the Applied Geosciences Center of the Geological Survey of Brazil in Brasília, and since 2021, he has been the Executive Coordinator of the Applied Geosciences Center at the Geological Survey of Brazil.
He is currently coordinating the institution’s largest R&D project, titled “Technical-Scientific Studies for Geological CO2 Storage in Deep Saline Aquifers of the Paraná Basin,” with a global budget of R$ 99,000,000, funded by Petrobras through the ANP’s R&D Clauses.
