Full Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo (USP), Director of the Center for Technologies for Biogenic CO₂ Capture and Storage (CTBECCS), Coordinator of the Dynamics and Fluids Research Group, and a member of the Research Centre for Greenhouse Gas Innovation (RCGI) and the Offshore Technology Innovation Centre (OTIC).
His research, development, and innovation (R&D&I) activities focus on energy, decarbonization, and carbon capture and storage (CCS). He coordinates research projects in partnership with industry, government, and universities in Brazil and abroad.
